One Parade. A Quarter-Million People

One Parade. A Quarter-Million People. Every Small Business in Town Along for the Ride.
Every December, McAllen becomes the unofficial "South Pole of Texas." Giant balloons spin through downtown, Santa arrives on a cross-country road trip, and a quarter of a million people show up to watch — making the McAllen Holiday Parade the largest illuminated holiday and helium balloon parade in the state, and an 8-time award winner on the national stage.
Pollux Castor runs the whole thing. Not just the parade itself — the story around it. The theme, the celebrity bookings, the broadcast, the press, the social feeds, the billboards on both sides of the border. Everything that turns one night in December into a six-month campaign the entire region talks about.

A Theme That Became the Whole City
For 2025, we sent Santa on a road trip across America — Route 66 postcards, live trackers, life-size photo-ops popping up around McAllen, a float for every stop along the way — all building toward his final destination: McAllen. It wasn't just a parade theme. It was the story that carried every press conference, every ad, every reel, for half a year.
Along the way, we brought in NFL players, reality TV stars, and a Hollywood legend or two to help tell it — while coordinating live bilingual broadcasts that reached families not just across Texas, but across the border and into dozens of Latino markets nationwide.
What Showing Up Looks Like
265,000+ people on parade night. A broadcast special seen in 31 of the country's top Latino markets. Social engagement that doubled year over year. And a lineup of local sponsors — from H-E-B to hometown car dealers to the regional airport — who each got their moment in front of that entire audience, delivered exactly as promised.
Why It Matters Beyond the Parade
Most businesses will never need to book a celebrity or coordinate a live broadcast. But the parade proves something bigger: Pollux Castor can hold an idea together across every channel — TV, radio, social, print, press, and the ground itself — without losing the thread. That's the same thing we bring to a law firm rebuilding its reputation, a car dealership uniting nine brands under one campaign, or a beverage brand trying to earn its first shelf space in a new market.
Big or small, the job is the same: tell the story right, then make sure it shows up everywhere your audience is already looking.
